HAWKEYE – A rural northeast Iowa man was arrested recently for invasion of privacy.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff, on February 2nd, the sheriff’s office took a report from a victim who felt an invasion of privacy had taken place. Deputies obtained a warrant for a residence located at 25134 Rose Road north of Hawkeye and took several items of evidence.
Deputies then obtained a warrant of arrest for 36-year-old Darren Laverne Franzen of Hawkeye for Invasion of privacy-nudity under Code of Iowa 709.21 and took him into custody. Franzen was transported to the Fayette County Jail and held on a $5,000.00 bond. Franzen later posted bond and was released. Invasion of privacy is a serious misdemeanor.
