Charles City School Board President crashes car

CHARLES CITY – A newly-elected school official in Charles City escaped a traffic accident unscathed while causing thousands of dollars in damage.

According to Charles City police, James Frisbie, age 66, lost control of his 2013 Ford Explorer at the intersection of North Main Street and Riverside Drive on February 8th at about 10:35 AM.

Frisbie proceeded to strike a traffic light, causing about $15,000 in damage to his vehicle and the traffic light. He was transported to a Charles City hospital for treatment. Later, Frisbie told Charles City media outlets that he had a reaction to a medication which caused the crash, and that he was fine.  He is the Charles City School Board President.
