Couple arrested after traffic stop

MASON CITY – A North Iowa couple was arrested after a traffic stop late Saturday night near the Mason City Airport on a range of offenses.

According to a report, officers with the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle driven by Loren Leroy Field, age 41, at the intersection of 255th Street and Jonquil Avenue, between Mason City and Clear Lake.

Mr. Field was arrested for driving while revoked (drug related), driving under suspension, no insurance, and a Hancock County Warrant.

Also arrested was a passenger in the vehicle, Autumn Lee Lauritsen, age 27. She was charged with open container, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a prescription drug.

Both were transported to the CerroGordo County Jail and booked.

In August, Mr. Field was convicted of possesion of unlawful drugs for a second time. Judge Gregg Rosenbladt sentenced him to 180 days in jail, but suspended all but 2 days. A fine of $625.00 was also suspended and he was given 1 year of probation.
