MASON CITY – The demolition of a northwest Mason City office building has been completed.
NIT had reported earlier in August that the site, located at 810 12th Street NW, the dark brown office building had been partially torn down and left for an undetermined amount of time. Piles of debris had been scattered about and wind had strewn exposed insulation, dust, and pieces of wood about the area.
The property has been overgrown with weeds and debris for years.
A check of the area on September 4th showed that the demolition had been completed and the ground was smoothed over. Navrtil Construction had won the bid for the demolition job.
Squeaky wheels got the job done.
