CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman was injured this week after she was rear-ended by another driver.
According to a report, 60 year-old Christine Robbins was westbound on Highway 18 east of Highway V18 on Tuesday at about 8 AM when 88 year-old John Barnes of New Hampton struck her vehicle from behind as she slowed for traffic in front of her.
Robbins was transported to Mercy Medical in New Hampton with undisclosed injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Chickasaw county sheriff’s office, Chickasaw ambulance, New Hampton Fire Department, Chickasaw Rescue and other first responders.
