MASON CITY – Police say they have caught a North Iowa man in connection with a skid loader that went missing.
The Mason City Police Department had been investigating the theft of a Case 430 skid loader from the 100 block of 4th St SW sometime between February 11th to February 21st.
Today, the Mason City Police Department announced the arrest of Mark Richard Petersen, 45, of Plymouth on a charge of 1st degree theft, a class C felony. A class C felony is punishabìe up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
The loader belonged to Red Line Concrete and was recovered near Greenfield, Iowa.
The arrest was the result of a tip from a citizen, and a joint investigation With the Adair County Sheriffs Department, Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Department, and Mason City Police Department.
