MASON CITY -Mason City police and emergency responders rushed to the NIAC
C campus Saturday night for what turned out to be a one vehicle rollover.
Initially, police were hunting for a second car, but after further investigation, they ruled it a one car accident.
According to a bystander, police were “scouring the area for evidence.” The person also said the area, along College Drive, was considered a “crime scene.”
“One young man arrested, presumed father also showed up just prior to his arrest,” NIT was told. “The driver appeared to be uninjured when he was taken away in a squad car. ”
It was also said that quite a but of debris was scattered along the road, and within a few yards, a number of beer cans. It was not immediately clear if the beer cans were related to the accident.

hmmmz nothing on the female that was the passenger and presumably the one who hid the 3 beer cans under tree/bush? heard whole thing via scanner, there was mention of ‘large amount of blood’, and that noone was around area of car when cops showed up so they were searching the area… how funny dad shows up on scene just before/right as police… (maybe he hid the beer cans in order to cover for son) from what came across scanner to what has been reported here doesn’t match up!! will the REAL story ever be reported or seemingly be “brushed” under the rug to protect another prominent MC family….

NIACC wants new dorms. They should keep up and read Howard Finberg’s article on how new technology is changing college model with “mass adoption of teleconferening and distance learning.” Less reliance on classroom (and get it, that would also mean dorms)? High quality streaming video makes online classes better. How many of us have taken online college or continuing ed classes?
