Rosemary “Rosie” Bridget Faber, the daughter of Bert and Vera Quinn, was born on August 5, 1939, in Lone Rock, IA. Rosemary passed away on April 7, 2025 at Bethany Life in Story City, IA after a short illness.
Rosemary was raised and attended Armstrong, IA schools. She met and married her husband Larry on April 4, 1964, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Armstrong, IA. The couple made their home in Estherville where they raised their three children. Once her children were all in school, Rosemary went to work as a much-loved lunch lady in the Estherville Middle-Jr. High School for 23 yrs. To this day former students still bring up how much of a hard time she would give them. She loved working at the school and interacting with the students. After retiring from the School District, Rosemary continued to keep herself busy by working at the local Elks Club as a waitress.
In 2016 Rosemary moved to Ankeny, IA where she lived with Michael until 2023 when she went to live with Steven in Story City, IA. She loved her grandchildren and was blessed to be able to spend that time with them. Each one held a very special place in her heart. In July of 2024 she was blessed with her first great grandchild.
Rosemary will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love for the Iowa Hawkeyes. (sometimes the Cyclones).
Left to cherish Rosemary’s memory are her children, Linda Faber of Fort Collins, Colorado; Michael Faber and his wife Leticia of Ankeny, Iowa, Steven Faber and his wife Jennifer of Story City, IA; seven grandchildren, Bailey (Dylan) Hoffpauir, Cody, Marissa, Nolan, Reagan, Cael, and Abby Faber; great granddaughter Blaire Hoffpauir; brother Allan Quinn of Fairmont, MN; sisters Patricia Andrade of Newport, RI; Rachel Gideon of Ottumwa, IA and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Rosemary in death is her husband Larry, her parents, twin great granddaughters Harper Rose and Addison Louise Hoffpauir; her brother Emmett, sisters Vera Hupp, and Agnes Whitlow.
In lieu of flowers Rosemary’s family prefers memorials to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
