MASON CITY – A judge was bringin’ on the heartbreak for this North Iowa weed possessor, handing down a guilty verdict and sending the excitable offender to jail with other women to have her photograph taken and her personal property held until she can again rock rock ’til she drops.
Records show Clear Lake police brought a charge of first-offense possession of cannabidiol against hard rocker Sherrie Ann Hernandez (pictured at top), after an incident back on September 9, 2024. In a desperate attempt to show she’s too tough, this hair band aficionado claimed she was innocent, and fought the charge in court for months. However, justice was only two steps behind, and her case was shredded like a a cheap guitar string. After a possible case of stagefright, Hernandez copped a plea, and Judge Adam Sauer sentenced this 47-year-old gen X’er on March 11 to two days in jail – and she lost her gun rights.
Hernandez was booked into the Cerro Gordo jail proudly modeling a Def Leppard t-shirt on the morning of April 9, 2025.
