FORT DODGE – After a horrific shooting in Fort Dodge in which a male victim took a bullet to the face, cops are hunting a suspect they consider to be very dangerous, and warned folks that harboring a fugitive is a serious crime, and not to approach him, even though a $500 reward for his capture is available.

On Friday, March 28, 2025, at approximately 4:06 AM, the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a call of someone being shot at 1433 4th Avenue S, in Fort Dodge. Officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department, Deputies with the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, and Fort Dodge Fire responded.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a male with a gunshot wound to the face inside the residence. Fort Dodge Fire transported the male by ambulance to Unity Point‐Trinity Regional Medical Center. The injury sustained by the male is not believed to be life threatening.

Upon further investigation by law enforcement on scene, witnesses were located as well and physical evidence was collected. Members of the Criminal Investigation Division were called in to assist with the investigation. Investigators worked to determine exactly what took place that morning.

The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted on scene by the Fort Dodge Fire Department, the Webster County Sheriffs Office, and the Webster County Attorney’s Office.
