ELGIN, IOWA – A pair of Northern Iowa neighbors had a bad night and things got heated, landing one suspect behind bars with a series of charges.
On May 4, 2025, at approximately 10:51 PM, Fayette County Deputies were called to 406 Washington St in Elgin in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival deputies on scene conducted investigation and learned that an altercation had occurred between neighbors. Tramone James Black, age 28 of Elgin, was deemed the primary aggressor and found to be intoxicated. Mr. Black was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and fifth degree criminal mischief. Mr. Black was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held to make an appearance with a judge.
Black immediately bonded out of jail, and now awaits a pre-trial conference set for June 4, 2025, at the local courthouse.
