Teddy L. Winters, 65, of Mason City, IA passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospice or to St. Croix Hospice.

Teddy was born on March 7, 1959 in Mason City, IA to Marlene Kinnan and Teddy Winters Sr. In 1977 Teddy graduated from Mason City High School, after graduating Ted went on to work for the city of Mason City for 20 years, doing everything from working on park maintenance, the street department and garbage disposal.

NASCAR was one of Ted’s favorite hobbies, he took pride in his Dale Earnhardt collection. He spent his time watching NASCAR races and drag races, even attending a race in Las Vegas where he was in the pits.

Ted enjoyed watching game shows, NCIS and Survivor on TV, never missing an episode. He also enjoyed going on fishing trips to Canada and Minnesota to catch walleye to fry.

He was a dedicated man, whether it was to his family or to his interests. Always cracking jokes to make those around him laugh.

Those left to cherish Teddy’s memory are his sisters Penny Perry and Lorri Davis; two nephews Jake (Alyssa) Perry and James (Jennifer) Perry; niece Jami Berry and Molly Winters; five great nieces Baya Winters, Lyvia Berry, Gabby Berry, Jersey Perry and Lillian Perry; great nephew Slater Perry; best friend Skip (Mike Ulrich) and Corie Albrecht; as well as many cousins.

Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Marlene Kinnan and Teddy Winters Sr.; brother, Randy Winters; uncle, Larry Kinnan; maternal grandparents, Claudia and Robert Sheffler and Delbert Kinnan; paternal grandparents, Katherine and Lawrence Winters; and brother in laws, Ed Davis and Michael McKibben.
