Douglas Fraser, 62 of Marble Rock formerly of Burt, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Lentz Funeral Home in Burt. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Douglas Dean Fraser passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 62. Born to Carrol and Mary Fraser of Burt, Iowa, Doug spent his youth in Burt and surrounding areas with lifelong friends Del and family, Pam and Kenny, and many others. Doug enjoyed spending time with his children Zachary and Jordin, his beloved grandsons Ben and Micah, and his girlfriend Holly Shindelar and family. Doug was most proud of his grandsons, always sharing their various academic and sports accomplishments, or funny and embarrassing stories. Doug enjoyed playing and learning music, studying coins, spending time at the racetracks with the Reutzel family, and tinkering with his various projects. Doug always had something to tell you and would talk your ear off if you’d let him, having such a calm voice, and ample lung capacity. Doug was a kind and gentle soul and loved all his family and friends immensely.
Survived by twin sister Debbie, older sister Diane, and many nieces and nephews. Doug is preceded in death by his parents Carrol and Mary, older brother Dale, sister-in-law Kathy, and half-brother Dennis.
