Todd Alan Mollenbeck, age 57, of Hampton and formerly of Latimer, passed away on May 18, 2024, at his apartment. Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Todd and his family.

Todd Alan Mollenbeck, age 57, of Hampton and formerly of Latimer, passed away on May 18, 2024, at his apartment. Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Todd and his family.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with a one-hour prior visitation on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at United Church of Christ in Latimer with Pastor Joseph Dunnwald officiating; family requests casual attire. Following the service, Todd will be laid to rest at Marion Center Cemetery in rural Latimer.

Todd was born on October 6, 1966, in Hampton, Iowa to Dale and Norma (Madsen) Mollenbeck being the youngest of their four children, Roger, Cindy, and Tami. He was raised up in his faith at Zion Reformed Church, rural Sheffield, where he was baptized and made profession of faith and then became a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer.

He attended CAL Community School, Latimer, Iowa, where he graduated in May of 1986. After high school he worked as a farmhand and then at Sukup Manufacturing in Sheffield until his health would no longer allow.

On June 29, 1996, Todd married Linda Sue Brady at Zion Reformed Church, rural Sheffield. To this union two children were born. Trevor on April 16, 1997, and Cody, who was stillborn, on March 10, 1999.

Todd had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed spending time with family, working on the farm and collecting farm toys. He participated in garden tractor shows and plowing events. He also enjoyed street rods and old cars, driving tractors in parades and mowing lawns around Latimer with Trevor as a youngster. Todd volunteered at the Franklin County Fair driving the shuttle.

Todd is survived by his son, Trevor of Latimer; stepfather, Dean Miller of Hampton; sisters Cindy (David) Ibeling of Ackley and Tami (Kevin) Ballhagen of Sheffield; along with nieces and nephews, Chris Lind, Kelly Lind-Daufledt, Mark Ballhagen, Carley Ballhagen and Shelby Morgan.

Todd was predeceased by his wife, Linda; son, Cody; parents, Dale Mollenbeck and Norma (Mollenbeck) Miller, brother Roger, grandparents Bert and Lena (Olk) Mollenbeck; Carolina (Johansen) Madsen, Chris and Letha (Bohlen) Madsen and nephew, Travis Ballhagen.

In lieu of flowers, for those wishing to do so, memorials may be directed to any of the following organizations: The Franklin County Fair, Latimer or Coulter Fire Departments or the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
