CHARLES CITY – A Northern Iowa motorcyclist sustained numerous injuries and was airlifted to a hospital after colliding with a Jeep in Charles City.
Authorities in Charles City say that the accident took place on February 6, 2024. At just before noon that day, police and other emergency responders were called to the intersection of South Iowa Street and Waller Street for a two-vehicle collision. A 2016 Jeep operated by 59-year-old Martha Ceja of Charles City was traveling northbound on South Iowa Street when it was struck by an eastbound 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 40-year-old John Williams of Ionia.
As a result of the collision, the Charles City Fire Department said, “The motorcyclist sustained numerous injuries and air med was paged to the hospital. The driver of the vehicle was a little shaken up but otherwise ok.”
There was approximately $4,000 in damages to the vehicles.
Police said charges may be pending in the incident.
