CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was cited after his involvement in a costly two-vehicle accident this week.
Charles City police say the accident took place on the morning of January 27, 2021. At 9:18 AM, officers were called to investigate a two-vehicle accident in the 800 block of Clark Street. Police say a grey 2005 Ford Taurus driven by 58-year-old Vincent Boge of Charles City was on the inside lane east bound and had switched lanes and struck a silver 2018 Ford Flex driven by 63-year-old Kathleen Mayer of Charles City that was also east bound on Clark Street in the outside lane. There were no injuries.
The estimated damage to Boge’s vehicle Was $2,000. The estimated damage to Mayer’s vehicle was $4,000.
Boge was cited for unsafe turn, a simple misdemeanor.
