High School Boys Cross Country: Mason City competes in 4A District State Qualifying Meet, places 6th

PLEASANT HILL, IOWA – The Mason City High School boys cross country team competed in the 4A District State Qualifying Meet on Wednesday evening and placed 6th.

The meet was held in Pleasant Hill on Wednesday, October 21. The top three teams in the 5K race – Dowling Catholic, Norwalk and Urbandale – qualified for state. Mason City placed 6th as a team. No Mohawk runners were able to qualify individually, either.

Breyden Christensen, a Junior, was Mason City’s top finisher in 18:01.9. Will Ryan, a Dowling Catholic Junior, was the winner of the race in 16:37.0.
