Northern Iowa man fails to fake out deputy, arrested with drug paraphernalia

ESTHERVILLE – A Northern Iowa man failed to fake out a deputy and was arrested with drug paraphernalia, a local sheriff says.
An Estherville man was arrested recently as the result of the investigation of suspicious activity. According to Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens, on April 16 at 3:28 PM, a sheriff’s deputy observed a green Pontiac Grand Prix traveling eastbound in the 400 block of Central Avenue in Estherville.   As the vehicle became closer to the deputy, the driver attempted to hide his appearance and turned north onto 4th Street.   The vehicle then stopped in the parking lot at the 10 blk of north 5th street where the deputy made contact with the driver.  Upon investigation, at the scene it was determined that the driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. As a result of the incident, 33-year-old William Bingen of Estherville was placed under arrest and transported to the Emmet County Jail where he was booked on the charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Exactly what was is suspicious behavior and suspicious behavior isn’t reason to pull over vehicle there was no probable cause this guy can get off if you rights emotion or has a lawyer write a motion setting the Coleman case in April of 2017 Iowa supreme Court.
