MINNEAPOLIS – Iowa defeated Minnesota in a Big Ten road contest, 76-75, Thursday evening.
For the second consecutive season, the Hawkeyes trailed at the half by eight to the Gophers and came back to win.
Three Hawkeyes scored in double figures, including Monika Czinano (21), Kathleen Doyle (17), and Alexis Sevillian (11).
Sophomore Monika Czinano shot 10-11 from the field in her home state.
Former Mason City Mohawk Mackenzie Meyer scored points on 2-7 shooting. She also had 9 assists and 3 turnovers.
Iowa next travels to Madison, Wisconsin, on Sun., Jan. 19 to take on the Wisconsin Badgers at Williams Arena. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. (CT), and the game will be streamed on BTN+.
