MASON CITY – A forum is scheduled for Thursday evening featuring the five candidates for Mason City school board.
The event is scheduled for Thursday evening, September 7 at 6 PM and will be held in the FEMA Safe Room on the Mason City High School campus, 1700 4th Street SE. Mason City citizens should plan to attend this event, to learn about the candidates and to make an an informed vote.
There are three seats available on the Mason City school board and five candidates to choose from.
Election day is September 12, but voting is already taking place at the Cerro Gordo county courthouse.

It definitely WON’T BE Steckman. The teachers have enough “friends” in government. His wife never commented on Micich’s plunder of our school district.

Haas has an agenda !! Promoting school vouchers, home schooling, Betsy DeVos’s Agenda, Right-Wing Christian Principles For Public School and nothing that would benefit the majority. This is part of a plan to have one Elective Office on his Resume, So that he can move up to a State Office. .Dont Be fooled..Jodi Draper and Jacob Schweitzer for sure..Jacob understands the Financials, too. That is What They are elected to do. To be fiduciaries of our Taxpayers dollars. Arndt, not so much. Her oversight for the last few years of Micich, Penca , and the reason for theAudits …Not paying attention. And, once again, Vote for Public Education. Draper, Schweitzer and Steckman.
