Karen Funte, 65, of Charles City, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.
A memorial service for Karen Funte will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home with Pastor Wendy Johannesen officiating.
Visitation will be at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service on Friday.
Karen Sue (Clark) Funte was born March 2, 1954 in Charles City, Iowa to George and Arlene (Ackerman) Clark.
Karen received her G.E.D. from NIACC in 1995. She was a caregiver at the Clarksville Nursing Home and worked at the Dollar Store. She loved being with her grandchildren, garage-saling, shopping, and being with her dog, Tigger.
Karen is survived by her children: Jason, Jon (Stacy), and Jamie (Rhiannon) Funte all of Charles City; her grandchildren: Ashton Hahn, Dustyn Kabele, and Jaymee and Ayden Engelhardt (Jon and Stacy); Juliette and expecting June baby Funte (Jamie and Rhiannon) all of Charles City; siblings: Roger (Betty) Clark, Frank (Diane) Clark, Jim (Brenda) Clark, Betty (Bob) Schurman, Larry (Liz) Clark, Rhonda Clark, Glenda (Joe) Clark, Sharon (Rob) Jacques, Dawn (Craig) Coates; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ed Funte, significant other, LeVern Mullinex, parents, George and Arlene Clark, and brother, Darrel Clark.
