BUFFALO CENTER – A student was arrested after a threat at a school in Buffalo Center, Iowa.
According to North Iowa School District Superintendent Cory Myer, a threatening message was posted on social media on Monday, October 9.
“After a thorough investigation, a student was taken into police custody,” Mr. Meyer stated. “The threat itself was deemed non-credible and a completely isolated incident.”
Due to the perceived nature of the threat as non-credible, “school remained in session and will continue in regular session this week.”
This arrest come on the heels of an arrest of a student in Mason City for a threat, the arrest of a student in Estherville for a threat and yet another arrest in connection to a threat in Algona – all incidents taking place this month.
