OSAGE – An Osage man previously convicted of a violent crime was arrested after a recent domestic incident.
Osage police responded to the incident on the afternoon of January 28. After officers investigated, they arrested Nicholas Alan McFarland, age 27, on charges of domestic abuse assault (enhanced) and obstruction of emergency communications.
McFarland was guilty by a jury in 2012 in Calhoun county of assault causing bodily injury and assault. He was given a brief jail sentence and ordered to pay $20,850.44 in fines, court fees and victim restitution; he still owes over $9,000, records show. He was also guilty of assault back in 2009 in Cerro Gordon county.
In 2016, McFarland escaped multiple charges brought by Osage police of control of a firearm by a felon and child endangerment. The charges were dismissed, but he was ordered to pay $500.00 in court costs.

He is a waste of air…. he always plays the victim and never is held responsible for his actions! His mother needs to pull the 27 yr old POS off her tit and make him man up! I remember when his older brother was going to teach him a lesson (kick his ass) and he ran & hid in his dad’s office by locking the door…. I say send him to his older brother who doesn’t even claim him anymore & let him teach the woman beating lil p***y a lesson! OMG your saying the cops are the bad guys. Imagine that. Yeah because he is such a target that he is all they focus on. Good luck. He puts himself in these places. He obviously has issues. The cops do their job to protect the citizens. when the bad guy acts out and gets held accountable for his actions ( as he should) that doesn’t make the cops the bad guys. It’s POS like him who never learn from mistakes and want to play victim. You shouldn’t be standing up for him. You should be holding him accountable for his actions behaviors and tantrums. Sure is a tough guy when he man handles a female. Maybe you should seek help yourself for trying to support such an outstanding citizen. He is a danger to anyone and everyone. He has a history of violence. It’s not just the osage cops. It’s who he is and always will be until idiots like you stop stand on the side line supporting and encouragements him . Support his recovery and the changes he needs to make. Don’t support the abuse he has inflicted on more then this victim. It wasn’t just her. There were males whom he also beat. Seek help !!!!!
Osage of has been after nick and he hasn’t been convicted of a felony! Maybe some of you people making comments should realize there may be more than you know. Osage of have always been pricks and I wouldn’t trust them for nothing. Seems like they have something their covering up in that county. Glad I don’t live there anymore.

He has never been the victim. He is a POS and needs held accountable for his actions. He shows a pattern but in some odd way his family is trying to be proud and defend the bum and place blame on all of his victims and not on him. Also, escaped the last charges? Perhaps if the OPD did there actual job then he wouldn’t of even been charged. He was and is not a felon and had his gun rights but once again they look at something and don’t do there homework that’s why I’d be suing there ass. Wrongfully arrested, house searched and arrested at work. Way to go osage PD. Bet that makes ya look real good. Ya wonder why people say mitchell county is corrupt. It’s always the male that gets arrested. He has called me multiple times to come get him Cz she was going crazy. They both in wrong n should’ve split long time ago. If he is such a “danger” then why would she show up at a place where he staying and try to contact him and saying things how she didn’t want this to happen blah blah blah
This isn’t the first time she pinned it all on the guy. Her first kid’s dad lost custody because of her bullsh*t accusations. I remember all the scratches that guy had on his face while she didn’t have a mark on him. But that’s water on the bridge, there are no ammends for that guy. Nick? Bad news.

You can’t hide what was happening and everyone knew what he was doing whether she wanted to say anything or not! I asked her numerous times to come to the park with my kids and I to get her away from him as much as possible! Who knows entirely what all he had done to her! He was an abuser too don’t try to make him look any better! She is a very good mom and these guys don’t want help raise their kids until they’re out of her life! She deserves far more than what she has been handed to her in life!

Did what to her? Please show me all the pictures of the beating she supposedly got. There is no evidence of her getting hurt at all. All wounds were self inflicted from her beating on him. There was a witness there who saw the whole thing. The only reason they arrested him is because he was suing Mitchell county.
