Two men shot in Waterloo Friday morning

WATERLOO – On Friday, June 21, 2013 at approximately 12:57 AM, Waterloo Police Officers were conducting a traffic stop at Broadway Avenue and Kern Street when they heard the sound of gunfire.

Shortly thereafter, police received a call from 436 Bratnober Street that two people had been shot. The victims, Patrick Greer, age 46, of 436 Bratnober Street and Jaevon Guyton, age 19, of 425 Baltimore Street were sitting outside the residence when an unknown black male came from the alley and shot them. Both victim received gunshot wounds to the leg. They were taken to Allen Hospital and treated for their injuries.

Waterloo Police did recover eight spent 9MM shell casing at the scene. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the Waterloo Police at 319-291-4340, ex. 5003 or Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers at 855-300-8477.

It’s called natural selection, but the shooter wasn’t a very good shot.
