Meth dealer apprehended by drug task force faces January trial

MASON CITY – A Mason City man accused of dealing meth after a raid on two houses in town remains free as a January trial date is set.

On July 21, 2016, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Office executed two search warrants in Mason City. One warrant was served at at 17 6th NE. The second search warrant was served at 208 28th Street SW. The North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operations Group (Tactical Team) served the warrants.

Based on an ongoing investigation, Martin Leroy Pedelty, age 40 of Mason City, was taken into custody. Pedelty was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, a Class B Felony. Pedelty was held at the Cerro Gordo Couty Jail on $100,000 bond until September 27, when judge James Drew released him. Police said the investigation into the criminal activity was on-going.

On November 1, a jury trial was set for Pedelty. He will be in court January 4, 2017. A pre-trial conference is also scheduled prior to that, on December 20.

Marty has been getting spun forever

May be should be convicted first before you judge

They will just give him probation. He will be back on the streets before the jury is.

They finally got him, maybe.
