MASON CITY – A Burnsville, Minnesota woman was sent to jail after she was charged with marijuana possession.
Kabreeya Rashay Abron, age 19 of Burnsville, was charged by the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office back in December with possession of the illegal drug marijuana. A charge of possession of a drug paraphernalia was dismissed.
Abron pleaded guilty on March 2 and was sentenced to two days in jail and ordered to pay $940.00 in fines and court fees, which she promptly paid in full.
Drug dealing pays pretty good, until they get caught.
Bank robbery pays pretty good too until you’re caught, but that’s no more relevant here than your post.
The woman was charged with possession, not dealing drugs. To sentence someone to jail for marijuana possession in this day and age is absurd.
Makes me glad that this county and this state are dying. Whatever judge did this is a big fish flopping around in a shrinking pond, soon to be mud.
