MASON CITY – A North Iowa man tried to enter a busy road from the Willowbrook Mall main drive on 4th Street SW and struck another vehicle, injuring a woman.
Mason City police tell NIT that on Wednesday, January 27 at about 12:03 PM, a collision occurred in the 1600 block of 4th Street SW at the main entrance onto the Willowbrook Mall parking lot. Vicky Parks of Manly was driving a Toyota Camry westbound on Highway 122. Dale Trettin, of Grafton, drove a Chevy Uplander northbound onto 4th Street SW from the private drive from the mall parking lot.
As a result, Parks was transported to Mercy by Mason City fire medics to be checked out. Trettin was cited for Unsafe Entry onto Sidewalk or Roadway.
