CLEAR LAKE, IOWA – A Minnesota truck driver lost control of his truck and trailer today on an off-ramp in Clear Lake, overturning the vehicle.
The incident took place Tuesday at about 12:50 PM when a Cerro Gordo deputy discovered the 2009 Mack truck, overturned at the off ramp of Highway 18 onto Interstate 35. The sheriff’s office reports that the truck driver, 55-year-old William Bergeron of Albert Lea, Minnesota, likely was traveling too fast to traverse the curve of the off-ramp.
As a result of the crash, the trailer detached from the rig, spilling grain into the ditch.
There were no injuries in the accident.
