GARNER – A Crystal Lake man has been found guilty of sexual abuse by a Hancock county jury.
Zachary Scott Vulich, age 25, was charged with felony second degree sexual abuse and assault involving penetration of a female victim with an object. The alleged crime took place in November of 2013.
Several potential witnesses were subpoenaed in the case, and photos of the possible crime scene were submitted as evidence. Vulich’s lawyer resisted an attempt to have his client submit to a psychological evaluation, but judge Dedra Schroeder ruled against that. The case finally went to a jury on September 10, and the next day, the guilty verdicts to assault and third degree sexual abuse were returned.
Vulich faces up to 20 years in prison at a sentencing hearing scheduled for November 3. As convicted sex offender, he will be required to register with the state permanently and face restricted living conditions.
Vulich’s lawyer has already requested a new trial.
He won’t be smiling like that when Bubba gets done with him.
I hope he enjoys being penetrated with an object in prison! The rotten piece of sh*t!
I’m confused. If this went to a jury November 10, why is it just being reported now?
That should have read SEPTEMBER 10. Sorry for the confusion, the date is corrected.
