IOWA FALLS – An investigation has been launched after a man’s lifeless body was discovered in a ditch along Highway 65 north of Iowa Falls.
On September 13, 2015, at approximately 12:10 PM, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male subject deceased in a ditch on State Highway 65, north of Iowa Falls. State investigators offered little information or detail about the man or the circumstances of how he may have met his fate. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.
One area woman said she “saw shoes on the west side of the road when I drove past,” as law enforcement blocked off the highway.
In the investigation, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Iowa State Patrol (ISP) and the Iowa Falls Police Department.
