CHARLES CITY – North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) is again expanding the number of classes being offered at the NIACC Charles City Center, located at 200 Harwood Drive.
“NIACC has responded in a big way to many requests for more credit classes in the Charles City area,” said Pam Durrwachter, Community Education Coordinator. “Eight Iowa Communications Network (ICN) fall classes are scheduled in Charles City, for both day and evening. One of our more popular classes, Nurse Aide Theory and Practice, which runs in the evenings starting September 15, still has a few openings left.”
“Students appreciate the convenience of classes close to home, and ICN classes can be held even if the enrollment is low,” Durrwachter said. “Students should check out the grants, scholarships and student loans available to those who qualify, making a NIACC education even more affordable. Our part-time area students should look at the Charles City Scholarship as well.”
Several of the courses offered are general education courses that count towards an Associate Degree, as well as satisfying Health Program prerequisite course requirements.
Anyone who is interested in learning more is invited to come to the Charles City Center to meet with a NIACC Enrollment Advisor/Financial Management Advisor between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16. The advisor will help with questions, registration, and financial aid. Please call the NIACC Charles City Center at 641-228-4634 to make a June 16 appointment.
