GARNER – A Crystal Lake man is accused of sexual abuse in Hancock county.
Zachary Scott Vulich, age 24, was housed in the Cerro Gordo county jail prior to his upcoming trial. He is charged with felony second degree sexual abuse and assault involving penetration of the victim with an object. The alleged crime took place in November of 2013.
Several potential witnesses have been subpoenaed in the case, and photos have been submitted as evidence. Vulich’s lawyer resisted an attempt to have his client submit to a psychological evaluation, but judge Dedra Schroeder ruled against that.
A jury trial is currently scheduled for February 25.
