MASON CITY – A Mason City woman jailed on felony drug charges has been released from jail and awaits a December trial.
Shawn Ranie Levenhagen, age 47, has been charged with two counts of felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. More specifically, Levenhagen is charged with two violations of Iowa code 124.401(1)(c), which states: “a person who is eighteen years of age or older and who either directly or by extraction from natural substances, or independently by means of chemical processes, or both, unlawfully manufactures methamphetamine, its salts, isomers, or salts of its isomers in the presence of a minor shall be sentenced up to an additional term of confinement of five years.”
The incidents allegedly took place in November of 2013.
Levenhagen was jailed on September 26 and released from jail on October 20 on her own recognizance. She now awaits a December 20 court date.
