Car burns as mechanics try and fix it (photos)

MASON CITY – A car fire was extinguished Sunday after something went wrong as it was worked on.

The incident took place around 1:10 PM at the intersection of 9th Street NW and Adams Avenue. A mechanical issue was being worked on by the car’s owner’s boyfriend.

Firefighters put the fire out and chatted with two male subjects at the scene. No one was hurt, and the car appeared to suffer some significant damage.
