WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Steve King took yet another shot at the President Monday, saying Barack Obama wants to divide the American people, not unite them.

Speaking on the House Floor on February 4th, 2014, King said he spoke that evening about “this President’s agenda to divide and not unite us,” describing President Obama as “not a uniter but a divider”.

King also spoke on another of his favorite topics, immigration.

In his speech, King took issue with proposed minimum wage increases, Congress not taking a break in order to “honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” and the Senate’s version of immigration reform, which he called “amnesty”.

King said that President Obama frequently only works on issues that unite the Democratic party and divide “the opposing” party.

I do not like Steve King.

and you do not like green eggs and ham?

Agreed and the American people better watch out that he doesn’t turn our American country over to the Musslums at the end of his term.

You never know.

I’ve said this before. Kings district is like no other in Iowa. This is a district that turns high school whores into super religious soccer moms. A district that takes pride in draconian drug sentences. All King has to do is go to church and hate druggers and he’ll be elected over and over again. I dated some of those high school whores and now I’M the immoral one! LOL

@Matt-sound like Bookmeyer and Obama have a lot in common. Both a couple of rejects.

If you are so stupid that you cannot already see the division, conservatives against liberals, blacks against everybody else, the working class against the welfare class.

I will ignore the “stupid” comment…for now.

So you are saying that you agree with Steve King?
That the division in this country is all due to President Obama?

Yes the division is there and sadly there is plenty of blame to go around for that.
Far right, far left and don’t forget the likes of the Koch brothers, they are masters at playing the “Divisional game”.

But if you are a Steve King supporter, may God have mercy.

I didn’t say I support King, what I said was that there is plenty of division out there and yes Obama is causing some of it. Either directly or indirectly he is it. There used to be a time when republicans and democrats could sit down and discuss their differences, maybe heated or not but they would be civil. Now, seeing what I have on here mainly coming from the liberals; they want all republicans to die. If that isn’t a division I don’t know what is.

@maybe-Good comments and very true. Obama has done more to divide this nation than anyone I can remember. King is the Republican version of Obama in my opinion.

Ah, I see.

I have stated in several other posts about far right and far left and that the “old days’ of compromise and working solutions is long gone.

I am a liberal and I do not have have a problem with conservatives other than the Tea Party wackos.
There are some good conservatives out there, but they being derailed by nut jobs, like Steve King.

But I have yet to see you say anything critical of your own Republican “tea Party” faction, you always seem to want to blame the “liberals”.
Perhaps you are the one not willing to come to the table.

I am independent, that being said there is enough blame to go around for everybody it just seems to me that the liberals are more extreme about it. I haven’t heard a republican say they wished all democrats would curl up and die but I have heard many democrats say that. It isn’t really the politics that I hate it’s the attitude.

@BCN-you are wrong here as I have often said the far right is just as bad as the far left. They are both extremist that try to make everyone just like them. I dislike anyone who trys to force me into anything I don’t want to do. As an example, I do not like abortion (who really wants to kill baby’s?) but I also do not think it is government position to tell a woman or their family what they must do with their body and their lives. That is a very personal decision. I do not really support the gay life style but think that is their personal business and that government should stay out of it. Do you see where I am coming from?

BCN don’t forget George Soros, All the MSNBC on air staff, moveon.org, occupy wall street, and Eric Holder

The only thing that surprises more than the stupidity of Steve King is the stupidity of the people who voted for him.

Heck, even the Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner called Steve King an asshole.

You ever notice that Steve King has the same “batshit crazy eyes” as Michelle Bachmann…coincidence? Hardly.
