Hampton man in jail after three no-contact order violations

MASON CITY – A Hampton man is in jail in Mason City for violating a no-contact order for a third time.

Austin Wade Ross traveled to Mason City on April 23 to allegedly participate in a brawl in the area of Highway 122 and Willowbrook Drive, at the home of a former girlfriend. Police were called to the residence twice that day to deal with the trouble. After the second call, Austin Wade Ross, age 18, was charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a no-contact order that had been in place since August of 2013. Ross has already been found guilty of violating the order on October 27, 2013 and February 26, 2014.

Ross was found guilty for a third time on May 1 of violating the order and was sentenced to seven days in jail, which he is serving now.
