MASON CITY – The NIACC women’s basketball team is ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA Division II poll releasedWednesday.
NIACC (19-2 overall, 8-0 in the ICCAC) topped Ellsworth (81-51) and No. 10 Iowa Central (94-87) in its two games last week.
It’s the second straight week the Lady Trojans have been ranked second behind Johnson County. The Lady Trojans took over the top spot on Dec. 18 and held down the top spot for three straight polls.
NIACC, which has won 13 straight regular season ICCAC contests, returns to action Saturday at DMACC (12-10, 4-4) in a league contest. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
