MASON CITY – The Mason City School Board will meet Monday, January 20, 2014 in the board room of the School Administration Building for its regular meeting.

The board will receive an update on the iJAG program from coordinator Jeremy White and student representatives in the program. iJAG provides comprehensive drop-out prevention and school-to-work transition services for youth in 7th grade through the college level on a statewide basis.

In a facilities update, Superintendent Anita Micich and CFO/Board Secretary Ramona Jeffrey will provide information related to draft documents of contract agreements under review with legal counsel.

The board will decide whether to allow a request from the Mason City High School Student Senate for permission to take an out-of-state, overnight trip from Thursday, February 13 through Sunday, February 16, to Chicago, Illinois for the LEAD Conference. LEAD Conferences offer experiential leadership skills development to students and advisers of the National Honor Society, the National Junior Honor Society, the National Association of Student Councils, and the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
