ROCKWELL – A truck driver was caught in an awkward situation Tuesday after backing into a Cerro Gordo County Sheriff Deputy’s vehicle.
According to a report, the driver of an LP truck had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of 150th Street and Partridge Avenue just outside of Rockwell at about 12:20 PM when he began to back up to make room for a turning semi when he struck the front of a sheriff’s deputy’s squad car (Chevy Tahoe) that was waiting behind him.
According to Sheriff Kevin Pals, “the photos of our damage shows small amount of damage to the front bumper of our Chevy Tahoe.”
No citations were issued in the case.
