Waterloo police investigate stabbing that injured two

WATERLOO – On October 24, 2013 at approximately 1:26 AM, Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire Rescue were dispatched to the Winning Edge, 341 Fletcher Avenue, Waterloo on report of a person with a knife. Police arrived and found that two people had been stabbed and another person assaulted.

Victims:

Paul Lynn Geiger, age 22, of Waterloo. Geiger was stabbed once in the back. Christopher Cornelius Parham, age 48, of Waterloo. Parham was cut once on the elbow. Joseph Donald Terhune, age 22, of Waterloo. Terhune was hit in the face.

Arrested at the scene was Eric Martez Hayes, age 28, of Waterloo, IA. Hayes was charged with 2 counts of Willful Injury, 2 counts of Going Armed with Intent and one count of Assault causing bodily injury. He is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail.

A fourth victim, Dakoda Mychael Kessell, age 21, of Waterloo, IA, later showed up at Covenant Medical Center with 2 stab wounds to his back.

Case remains under investigation.
