MASON CITY — Justice Not Politics Action Chair Sally Pederson responded today to the Bob Vander Plaats bus tour stop in Mason City:
“While Bob Vander Plaats and out-of-state politicians threaten and intimidate judges on their tour of self-promotion, we are reaching out to Iowans directly to vote yes on retention. Our focus is on protecting our fair courts from partisan politics,” said Sally Pederson, former Lieutenant Governor and Chair of Justice Not Politics Action. “Republicans, Democrats and Independents are coming together to reject politics in our courts, and we are taking our campaign directly to the voters this week.”
In addition to supporting a statewide tour called “Yes Iowa Judges” hosted by the Iowa State Bar Association, throughout the week Justice Not Politics Action will be communicating directly with Republicans and Democrats across the state, encouraging them to turn their ballots and vote Yes on Retention for Iowa judges.
