gay couplePRINCETON, N.J., May 13 (UPI) — Support for same-sex marriage has been at 50 percent or higher since 2011, a Gallup poll indicates.

Currently, 53 percent of Americans say they believe laws should recognize same-sex marriages, while 45 percent said they do not feel that way, a Gallup poll indicated.

In 2011, support for same-sex marriage grew to 53 percent, at which point 45 percent of poll respondents said they did not think laws should recognize same-sex marriages.

Since then, support for same-sex marriage been above 50 percent for three consecutive years of the poll, Gallup said.

Gallup first started tracking Americans’ thoughts on gay marriage in 1996 when just 27 percent of respondents said they support same-sex marriage while 68 percent said they were opposed.

The most recent poll was conducted May 2-7. Gallup interviewed 1,535 adults and said the poll had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

Yet another government poll. Where did they take this poll, New York, Kalifornekatia. I find it hard to believe that 1535 adults can speak for 314 million people, great picture though.

It’s always hard when you find out the majority does not agree to hate others for their sexual orientation, but I’m sure you’ll get over it.

Hate, is a very strong word, and I never use it. No where in my post do you read the word hate. You take it out of context, because hate must be on your mind.
How can anyone read three simple sentences, twist them around to mean hate. Who’s the real hater here.

You hate gays, just admit it. You can’t even be honest with yourself.

@Allen – Did they take the poll where there is a very high concentration of people with a whole spectrum of beliefs? That is kind of how polls work. And Gallop is not a government organization. We will now let you get on with your cheese course if you have finished with your whine.

I really can’t answer your question, can you, but I would like to know the answer. And yes, I know that gallop is not a government organization, but their polls are about the same, as I still feel the that 1535 adults can not speak for 314 million on this subject or any other. Make that black velvet and coke, and blue cheese, please.

My dad a book? He never told me!

Ok? And it’s 52% for legalizing marijuana. So, all you legislators, play fair! I don’t want to marry someone of the same sex (also not against it), but I’d sure like to be able to find some high quality LEGAL marijuana for an autoimmune condition I have.

A new study that spanned 11 years found that smoking marijuana may lower the chances of getting bladder cancer.
The study’s not been peer-reviewed yet, USA Today reported. It involved 83,000 men who smoked marijuana, cigarettes or both, Raw Story reported.
The findings, presented at the American Urological Association, found that men who smoked cigarettes increased their risks of bladder cancer, but that men who smoked marijuana only actually decreased their risks, Raw Story reported. Further, the study found that men who smoked both still have a higher chance of bladder cancer, but it was still a lower chance than those who smoked only cigarettes, Raw Story said.
“Cannabis use only was associated with a 45 percent reduction in bladder cancer incidence, and tobacco use only was associated with a 52 percent increase in bladder cancer,” the study’s author, Dr. Anil Thomas, said, Raw Story reported.
And smoking a lot of marijuana brought the greatest positive results.
Those who smoked marijuana more than 500 times a year had even less risk of bladder cancer than those who smoked the drug only once in a while, Raw Story reported.

Listen, 83,000 men is a large sampling. You could study 1,000,000 men and not come up with a result that’s much different. Please, if so many of you (adults) want to kill yourselves with alcohol & tobacco I will defend the right for you to do that. But give the rest of us our fair share.

Can you imagine we found a new super drug called “C-cure” and it was shown to reduce certain cancers by almost 50% and had no adverse side affects and was safe? People would be beating down the doors and insisting that they have access to it.

But because people have been brain washed institutionally for so long they say, NO! You can’t cure yourself of cancer! It’s pot!

At this point it is absolutely insane too me.

“It should be noted that marijuana, though classified as a soft drug, can cause a number of serious physical and psychological illnesses (Rafael et al., 2002). The dangers of smoking marijuana have increased with time, as the THC content in cannabis plants continue to escalate. Simply because Marinol, a THC pill taken by cancer and other terminally ill patients, is legal and is prescribed by doctors, does not make smoking marijuana a healthy or safe activity.”

So you posted a student opinion paper on the subject? Click on your link again. It’s a paper written by a student for class titled the “gateway effect”.

We know now that cannabis is not a gateway drug. There is nothing about cannabis that makes a person desire to do other drugs. In fact most all medical users do not even smoke cigarettes or drink beer.

You’re just copy and pasting student opinion papers and trying to pass it off as science.

FAIL

You didn’t bother to read the paper did you?

The paper was a review of reseach on marijauna as a gateway drug. It concluded that marijuana was no more a gateway drug than alcohol or cigarettes. By itself, marijuana use was shown not to be a indicator of future hard drug use. At most, the paper concludes, is that marijuana provides a pathway to possible hard drug use.

Your reading ability and comprhesion: FAIL

Why is a student opinion paper even relevant? It’s not a study at all. It’s a paper written by a college student for a class. Do you have downs syndrome?

Did you bother to read any of the referenced articles?

But of course now (for you) its all about not looking stupid.
