One minor injury in fender bender Friday afternoon

A car (pictured above) with 3 women in it sustained damage after another car driven by a Waverly woman collided with it on 5th Street SW Friday afternoon. It was towed from the scene.

MASON CITY – A woman sustained a minor injury Friday afternoon in a two car accident in Mason City.

A car with three women inside was traveling westbound on 5th Street SW when another car with one woman driving and no passengers attempted to turn left from South President Avenue onto 5th Street.

In the resulting collision, Elizabeth Carlson, 29, of Mason City, sustained a minor back injury.  She received no medical attention.  The car was damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

It was said the woman driving the other car, from Waverly, received a citation for failure to yield.

People need to be more of defensive drivers

Did you even read the story. The accident happened on 5th st SW. Maybe you should go back to kindergarten so you can learn how to read.
