MASON CITY – Shortly before 10:30pm Thursday, July 5th, members of the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department made traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue North & 3rd Street North East in Mason City.
As a result the driver identified as 26-year-old Zachary Jordan Cooper was arrested on one Class D felony count of 3rd offense OWI, and cited for no drivers license and open container. Cooper was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and released after posting bond.
Court records show Cooper has been convicted of 1st offense OWI in 2007, 2nd offense OWI in 2009. Cooper is also currently on probation for a 2011 operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
That is one sad out of shape looking 26 year old.
