MASON CITY – The Humane Society of North Iowa will host its annual Bark in the Park fundraiser this Sunday, June 10th. The walk-a-thon event will be held at Lime Creek Nature Center in Mason City and will begin at 11:00 am.
The event includes a trail walk, contests, canine/family photos by Terri Atkinson, concession stand, bake sale, plant sale, “flea-less market”, doggie massages by Glenda Eddy, and obedience tips with Val Lillibridge from Petco. Guest speakers include: Amanda Rose of Search and Rescue and Dr. Carrie Brown from Animal Medical Hospital.
Registration is $25 and includes a limited edition event t-shirt, goodie bag and access to all the event’s activities. Participants are encouraged to bring their friendly, vaccinated dog to this fundraiser. Dog contests will include: Fastest Tail Wag, Best Trick, and Frosty Treat Eating Contest.
