MASON CITY – Two persons were injured Sunday afternoon in Mason City in a motorcycle-car accident.
At around 2:00 p.m., at the 4th Street and South Virginia intersection, a motorcycle and car collided.
Witness at the scene didn’t see what happened, but heard a “big boom.”
“I heard a big boom, I looked and it appeared the female was thrown clear across the street. There was debris scattered clear down the street.”
The car involved had major front end damage. Two individuals were transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Hospital. The woman was wearing a helmet, bystanders said.
Both vehicles were towed by Affordable Towing.
