Ankeny-based Casey’s General Stores will break ground on its first convenience store in Kentucky later this month.
The opening of the store in Cadiz, Ky., this summer will represent the 12th state Casey’s General Stores has entered. Additional Casey’s General Stores will open later this year in Paducah, Ky., and Henderson, Ky.
Casey’s General Stores President and CEO Robert Myers said the company believes there are many stores in Kentucky that fit Casey’s business model.
In addition to entering Kentucky, Casey’s General Stores announced that it has land under contract for purchase in neighboring Tennessee.
