Wanted Minnesota man nabbed in Iowa

WEST UNION, IA – A Minnesota man wanted on a nationwide warrant was caught by Iowa law enforcement last week.

On June 7th, at approximately 3:00 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mathew Todd Vrieze, age22 of Spring Grove Minnesota, on a nationwide felony warrant from Houston County, Minnesota on a violation of release conditions. The original charge was possession of hallucinogenic drugs, schedule 1 2 3 and 4, not small amount (Marijuana).

Vrieze was taken into custody from a residence on Franklin Street in West Union and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he awaits extradition. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Union Police Department.
