Celebrating the program’s 15th year and nearly $110,000 of tourism marketing awards, Visit Mason City encourages events, tournaments, conventions and tourism facilities that create visitor activity for the Mason City area to apply. Applications are due by 4 pm on Feb. 2, 2012.
Applicants eligible to receive a Visit Mason City Tourism Marketing Grant include:
· Marketing projects completed during Feb. 2, 2012 – Oct. 1, 2012.
· Projects with distribution / tourism marketing focus outside a 90-mile radius of Mason City.
· Design, production, and placement costs for brochures, fliers, posters, direct mail pieces, registration materials, videos, websites, print ads, radio ads, television ads, and off site signage that attract visitors.
· Shuttle service for local tours, transportation between convention facilities, welcome reception food / non-alcoholic beverages for tourists are eligible grant expenses
