Franklin County Treasurer charged with OWI

HAMPTON – Court records show the Hampton Police Department charged Franklin County Treasurer Chad William Murray with OWI 1st offense after he was pulled over for driving on the wrong side of a two way highway on Sunday, November 6th.

Hampton Police Department entered the criminal complaint with the courts on Monday for one serious misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. A traffic ticket was also filed for driving on the wrong side of the road.

Court records indicate Chad Murray as promised to appear in Wright County Court House on November 23rd at 9:30 am. Court records do not indicate why Murray is to appear in a different county then his arrest.

Charges without disposition is not an indication of guilt and subject is innocent until proven guilty.
